Largest Country in the World

The Russian Federation is located on two continents – Europe and Asia. With a land mass of about 17.08 billion sq. kilometers spreading over 11 time zones, Russian is the world's largest country in terms of area (even after the disintegration of the Soviet Union, which Russia comprised a large part of). It has a coastline of 37,700 kilometers, irrigated land of some 46,600 square kilometers and land boundaries extending more than 19,000 kilometers. Russia is bordered by 14 countries.
